CHICAGO – E’ morto a 87 anni nella sua casa di Chicago il pianista jazz Ramsey Lewis, vincitore di tre Grammy Award. Lewis iniziò presto a esibirsi nella chiesa dove il padre dirigeva il coro. Nel 1956 pubblicò l’album di debutto con il trio che includeva il bassista Eldee Young e il batterista Redd Holt. Nel 1965 la band divenne famosa con l’inaspettato successo di ‘The In Crowd’, una composizione strumentale della popolare canzone ‘Motown’ di Dobie Gray uscita mesi prima. Circa 80 gli album registrati nel corso della vita.
